Andrea has released 5 solo albums and has toured across North America performing in every imaginable venue, including many of Canada’s most prominent jazz and folk festivals. She has spent the last decade in impeccable company, collaborating with some of Canada’s finest musicians Kevin Breit (Casandra Wilson, Supergenerous, Sisters Euclid) Ian de Souza (Lal, Sisters Euclid), Justin Abedin (Jacksoul), the Toronto Tabla Ensemble, Ron Lopata (Jacksoul, Tomi Swick). She has co-written award winning music with Michael Kaeshammer, Tianda, and Donald Quan, she has been featured in Stuart McLean’s Vinyl Cafe Orchestra, and performed as a member of Jeans and Classics with symphony orchestras across North America. She has also been recognized with a KM Hunter Award for Music, and lent her powerful voice to countless Canadian albums.

Her latest recording ‘Half Way Sweet’ is a delicious and dramatic collection of music written during stolen late night moments spent with her new obsession – the ukulele.  Says Koziol, “I had no idea I would fall in love with the uke. A great old friend put one in my hands and encouraged me to keep it for a week – just to see if I liked it. I  didn’t get any sleep that week, and at the end of it I couldn’t part with the damn thing.” (Andrea is now thrilled to play Dasilva Ukuleles.)

And so, an album was born. An album of songs softly written and now lovingly arranged for uke, horns, strings and accordions, as well as a stellar band of friends and superstars.
