Formed in 1998 by members of the province’s Greek community, THE FORGOTTEN BOUZOUKI is a group of nonprofessional and professional musicians who love to play Greek music; it features band founder George Miminis (guitar and vocals) and his son Simon (drums), Andrew Pike (bass), Pamela Morgan (vocals, guitar, tin whistle), and Dave Panting (mandolin, baglama, vocals). The group performs for the annual Greek Cultural Evening, folk nights at the Ship Pub and various fundraisers for organizations such as the Anna Templeton Centre. They have been recorded by CBC Radio’s Performance Hour in 2004 and appeared at last year’s festival.
